German lubricants producer Oest Group has installed tanks with capacity to store 480,000 liters of raw materials at its blending plant in Freudenstadt.
The Georg Oest Mineralolwerk plant develops, manufactures and sells lubricants. With the expansion of the tank system for raw materials, Oest said it continues to invest in modern technologies, higher storage capacities and efficient production processes.
The company said in a news release that each of the new tanks is approximately 13 meters high, weighs around 10 metric tons and is equipped with remote monitoring. Three of the tanks are also insulated and heatable, which allows them to store sensitive raw materials, Oest noted.
“All important data, fill levels and temperatures are automatically transmitted to production planning,” the company stated. “The modern technology and the significantly higher storage capacities bring significant advantages and flexibility in procurement logistics as well as in production processing. This also results in a high level of availability and readiness for delivery for our customers.”
Oest produces a wide range of lubricants and greases in the automotive, industrial and metalworking sectors.
According to its website, the company’s products primarily reach international markets under the Oest brand, but also under its customers’ own labels.
