Japan to Develop Base Oil Rerefining
September 2, 2022Eneos Corp. is conducting a two-year study on recycled waste lubricants to help establish supply of rerefined base oil in Japan, the company said in a press release last month. The study is commissioned by the country’s Ministry of the Environment.
Japan Lube Consumption Falls
September 2, 2022Finished lubes consumption in Japan fell 7%, while production edged up 3% in July, and lubricant imports fell more than 50%, compared to the same month last year, according to data released Wednesday by the Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
Raw Material Costs Hinder AP Oil’s Profits
