Eneos Pilot Plant Makes Rerefined Oil

Eneos announced on Wednesday that it has produced rerefined base oil  in a demonstration project, as part of its work in a government-commissioned study on recycled waste lubricants in Japan.

The Philippines Department of Energy issued guidelines enabling increases in the portion of renewable content in diesel and gasoline motor fuels, beginning Oct. 1. Diesel suppliers are mandated to increase the portion of biodiesel from 2% to 3% on that date and will have to boost it to 4% and then 5% on the same dates of 2025 and 2026. Gasoline suppliers will have the option to increase ethanol content up to 20%, compared to the current cap of 10%.
